Welcome to The Price is Right on WeDigTV.com! This is a new, immersive broadband experience that will put you straight into the up to date recreation of the world famous gameshow featuring the amazing, Joe Pasquale. This i-show delivers the television experience to you, the broadband user.
The experience is made up of Contestant's Row, a range of classic Pricing Games, the Showdown, and finally, the famous Price is Right Showcase!
Simply compete in all 4 rounds of this high energy gameshow and accumulate as many points as you possibly can. You will be challenged on your knowledge of the value of real world consumer goods, whether they be groceries, or top of the line cars. Guess accurately and answer correctly to bank those points and prove yourself a Price is Right master.
The easiest way to learn how to play the game is to click "Play" and get stuck in. You can refer to this instructions page for some of the finer gameplay details.
As in the classic television show, the game is all about guessing the value of a range of items. These are divided into prizes, and grocery items... don't worry you won't be playing for peanuts... you'll just be guessing their value as you aim to score big, by winning Stereos, Computers, Bikes, furniture and holidays.
We always make it easy for you to enter your chosen value, and we reward accuracy... so remember, to earn the big scores.. you need to be as close as possible, WITHOUT going over the actual value of that prize.
One more important point: In order to get through to your showcase, you'll need to get through the Showdown. Joe will explain, but just so you know, you need to be higher than a set threshold after two spins of the wheel to go through. Originally, you need to get higher than 90, but every time you win a pricing game, this value will decrease. The more games you win, the more likely you are to reach your showcase.
Just like in the show, the game will start with you joining Contestant's Row, you'll even get to see your player "Come on Down!"
Joe will reveal the prize, and the games HUDLINE will reveal the point value you're playing for. The HUDLINE appears at the bottom of the game screen and gives you information throughout the game, so it's worth keeping an eye out for it, when it appears.
Once our voiceoverman, Peter Dickson, begins describing the prize, you'll see a box marked as "Your Guess" appear on the right of the screen. Click on the arrows to raise and lower the three digits that make up the prize. Contestant's Row prizes are never over £999, so you'll only need to worry about three digits for now.
Once Peter's finished telling you how amazing the prize is, your rival contestant's on the row will offer their guess. Time is running out now, so you'll need to refine your guess, unless you're already sure of your answer.
NB: Pay attention to what your opponents think, as their answers might prove useful to you!
Once you've submitted your answer, Joe will reveal the actual price, and let you know whether you were closest (without going over). If you are, great, you're about to play a pricing game. If not, then you'll need to try and get off the row again, so Joe will introduce the next prize for you to try and win.
You'll only get three attempts to get off Contestant's Row and earn a pricing game, so pay attention. Here's a hint... make your guess much lower then the other contestants in your first pricing game, and you're almost guaranteed to go through to at least one Pricing game!
In Any Number, Joe will show you a pair of Prizes, one worth more than the other. You will be trying to win the most valuable prize, but getting the less expensive prize is still preferable to winning what's in the Piggy Bank!
You'll see the Any Number game board, showing one four digit value, and two three digit values, the bottom one having a decimal point in it. The top value belongs to the most expensive prize, while the second matches the value of the less expensive prize. The third value, represents the contents of the Piggy Bank, somewhere between 12p (0.12) or £9.87 (9.87).
These values might seem odd at first, but that's because the numbers 0 to 9, only feature once in the three values on the board. When you pick a number, it's position on the board will be revealed, and you won't be able to pick it again.
Consider the value you believe is correct, and pick the numbers that make up that value. If you win, your chances of getting through the Showdown will increase, if not, you'll still return to Contestant's Row, to try and win another Pricing Game.
If you've already had three attempts at Contestant's Row, you'll move on to the Showdown.
In Cliffhanger, Joe will show you the prize, and the points that you'll be playing for, but you won't be trying to identify THAT prize's value. Instead, there's three smaller prizes, and it's these that you'll be trying to win.
As Joe will explain, there's a little mountain climber and strangely, you're trying to make sure he stays where he is! As you guess the value of the smaller prizes, for every pound you are off the actual price, the little climber will move one step up the slop, towards a precipice. So, the further you are away with your guess, the further he'll travel up the slope.
If he goes over, that's the end of this game, and you win nothing. If, after you've made your third guess, he doesn't climb to his doom, then you've won the round, and all the points!
If you win, your chances of getting through the Showdown will increase, if not, you'll still return to Contestant's Row, to try and win another Pricing Game.
If you've already had three attempts at Contestant's Row, you'll move on to the Showdown.
In this Pricing game you'll be playing for big points... the prize you'll be shown will always be worth over £1000, so there's lots of points on offer. The three by three grid that you can see has nine two digit numbers on it, and two of these value will make up half of the four figure number that represents the value of the prize.
If you see a 23 and a 75, then the prize could be worth £2,375, or £7,523. You'll have four attempt to find the values that are half the correct figure, but if you fail a fourth time, the Pricing game will be over.
So, look at the available numbers, and try and pick a pair that give you the correct value. If you win, your chances of getting through the Showdown will increase, if not, you'll still return to Contestant's Row, to try and win another Pricing Game.
If you've already had three attempts at Contestant's Row, you'll move on to the Showdown.
It's time for you to walk the plank... or at least to push some numbers off the plank of the Pushover pirate ship. Joe will show you a prize, and you'll need to find the three figure number that represents the value of the prize amongst the numbers lined up along the plank.
Every time you click the push button, the number furthest on the right will drop off into Micky the Mullet's mouth. You can't get that number back, so make sure you know where you want to stop in advance.
Consider the value you believe is correct, and keep pushing numbers off until the three figure number matches what the value of the prize. If you win, your chances of getting through the Showdown will increase, if not, you'll still return to Contestant's Row, to try and win another Pricing Game.
If you've already had three attempts at Contestant's Row, you'll move on to the Showdown.
In Safecracker, Joe will reveal what's locked inside the secret safe of Skegness. The three figure value of this prize is also the three figure code than unlocks the safe.
All three digits in this three figure number are unique, so if you're shown 1, 2 and 3, the answers can only be one of the following options:
123 231 312 321 213 132
If you try and use a number more than once, you'll definitely be wrong, so make sure they're all different. Once you've submitted your answer. Joe will spin the lock, and look for a green light to confirm you've unlocked the safe. If you're wrong, the prize, and its points will be sealed inside the Secret Safe for ever!
Consider the value you believe is correct, and arrange the numbers that make up that value. If you win, your chances of getting through the Showdown will increase, if not, you'll still return to Contestant's Row, to try and win another Pricing Game.
If you've already had three attempts at Contestant's Row, you'll move on to the Showdown.
Joe will show you the prize and the points you're aiming to win in this Pricing Game. However, you don't need to guess the value of the big prize... you'll be guessing the relative values of six grocery items.
Once Joe's explained himself, we'll show you a prize on the Walk The Line Train. The First item's value will be revealed, and you'll need to decide whether the next item, is Higher, or Lower in value.
Make your way all along the train, choosing higher or lower correctly, and you'll win the points value of the Prize. If you win, your chances of getting through the Showdown will increase, if not, you'll still return to Contestant's Row, to try and win another Pricing Game.
If you've already had three attempts at Contestant's Row, you'll move on to the Showdown.
So, you've done well and made it to the Showdown... you now need to get higher than a set target, with two spins of the wheel. If you haven't won any of your pricing games, this value will be 90. FOr every pricing game you win, it will go down by 10... so the more you win the easier it will be.
Once our Voiceover man has revealed your threshold, Joe will ask you to spin the wheel. Click to spin, and see what you get. Don't worry about going over 100... in this game, it doesn't matter.
If you fail to reach or exceed the threshold, it's game over, and you'll see you score for your game. If you beat it, you get to play for your showcase... the final chance to really make your score huge!
Well done, you've reached your Showcase.
Joe will begin by asking you to select your Showcase Range. This is the value that you can be under the actual value of your showcase, but remember, you can't be a penny over. Click the button to stop the flashing values, and reveal your range.
Once Joe has explained how your range works, your Showcase will begin. Pay attention to the descriptions for all four prizes that make up the showcase, and total them up in your head.
Once your Showcase has finished, Joe will ask you to submit the five figure sum that you think represents the combined value of all your prizes.
Having submitted your guess, Joe will bring up a screen showing your guess, your range, and ultimately, he'll reveal the actual value of the showcase.
If you're within your range (without going over) you've won the Showcase, and all those points! If you lose, well, it's game over, but you certainly did well to get this far.
Good luck, and have fun playing The Price is Right on WeDigTV!
