Welcome to Bullseye on WeDigTV.com! This is a new, immersive broadband experience that will put you straight into the classic 80's television show Bullseye! Strap yourself in and prepare yourself for a modern miracle. This i-show delivers the television experience to you, the broadband user.
The experience is made up of the same four Games that were in the Television show: The Category Board, Questions and Darts, Bully's Prize Board and The 101 Gamble.
Simply compete in all 4 rounds of the cult classic gameshow and make as many points as you possibly can. You will be challenged with the Darts and the Mind. Throw accurately and answer correctly to bank those points and prove yourself a Bullseye master.
The easiest way to learn how to play the game is to click "Play" and get stuck in. You can refer to this instructions page for some of the finer gameplay details.
As in the classic television show, your team is made up of a Darts player and a non-darts player (who typically provides the "brains" for answering the questions). You control both players, through both the dart firing and the question answering.
Playing darts is a big part of this game, so you should familiarise yourself with the aiming system. Aiming is done by clicking the mouse when the target is where you want it, and there are always two clicks for aiming. Patience and timing are important here, but as Tony Green will remind you, there's no rush.
You will notice that the non-darter is worse at aiming darts, so bear this in mind while playing. You will need to concentrate harder but if you take it nice and easy, anything is possible.
One more important point: In order to get through to Bully's Prize Board and have the chance to gamble the lot in the 101 gamble, you MUST score more than 500 points in the first two games (Category Board and Questions and Darts). If you do not have more than 500 points when Jim declares the end of Game 2, he will bid you farewell and the game is over!
Game One - The Quiz Board
The first game puts you face to face with the Category board. You have 5 darts to play with in this game.
For each dart, you must first choose from one of the available categories, then you must hit your chosen category with one dart.
If you hit your category, you get the point value you hit, and you get to answer a question from that category.
If you miss your category, but hit another available category, you don't get any points but you do get the chance to answer a question from the category you hit
If you miss the board all together or hit a category that is already gone, you don't get to answer a question but you move on to the next dart.
The questions are multiple choice. A correct answer will earn you a set amount of points (the "point value") plus additional "bonus points" based on how fast you respond. The point value for the question increases as you play through your 5 darts, so use this to your advantage:
Darts 1 & 2 : Question point value is 30 points
Darts 3 & 4: Question point value is 50 points
Dart 5: Question point value is 100 points
Once you have played your 5 darts, Game 1 is over and you're on to Game 2.
Game Two - Traditional Board
In round two, your dart skills begin to come under greater scrutiny. There's nine question up for grabs, but you have to earn your questions by reaching a set of target scores. To begin with you only need to reach 20, and you have three darts to do it.
This should be easy by now, but you'll see that the target score you have to reach goes up every time you answer a question. To get the ninth question (which is worth 100,000 points!) you'll need to score 180 with your darts.
You don't pick which target to go for, it just goes up by 20 automatically, keeping things nice and simple.
If you fail to reach a target score, the round is over, and you'll move onto Round 3, Bully's prize board. However, the round won't end if you fail to answer a question correctly, so you can still keep trying for higher targets.
Game Three - Bully's Prize Board
So, you've played good and made it to the famous Bully's prize board. Here, you're faced with a board divided into 8 red and black segments:
The red segments are prizes, with a set point value
The black segments are worth nothing.
The bullseye is "Bully's Special Prize" which is something amazing, and worth an amazing amount of points too.
One other thing to be aware of: If you hit a prize you already have, you will lose that prize! You can always hit the prize again to get it back, but you will have used up three of your darts.
You have 9 darts total in this round. Your first set of 3 are with your darter. For the second set, your non-darter makes his darting debut. You will find that they are less capable at playing darts, however with a lot of patience and a bit of luck you can still use them to win some prizes. Your last set of 3 is your darter again, and you can use them to mop up the remaining prizes.
Once you finish this game, you're on to the 101 gamble...
Game Four - Bully's Gamble
Well done, you've reached Bully's 101 or More Gamble.
To make things even more exciting, we've introduced a new element to this part of the show. Normally, you'd be given six darts, three each to your skilled, and low-skilled darts players. The aim is to get over 101, with your low-skilled player throwing the first three.
Now, to really make it a gamble for you, we're giving you the chance to stake your claim to be a Bullseye master. You can now choose how many darts you'll 'need' to reach 101 or more. You might need all six, in which case you won't get that many points, but if you think you can do it in two, AND you succeed, you'll get a massive 100,000 points!
It's important to note that the score you will get if you're successful is determined by the choice you make, and NOT the darts you throw. For example, if you choose to try it with 4 darts, but then manage it in two, you'll still only get the points that are awarded for choosing to use four darts.
That's the gamble... to get the big points you've got to be brave... and then you've got to deliver the goods!
A final warning, remember you first three darts are always thrown by your low-skilled player, so the target will be moving fast and erratically. You need at least one high treble (17, 18, 19 or 20) so it's pretty challenging.
Good luck, and have fun playing Bullseye on WeDigTV!
